Disneyland Hotel Tour and Review

Disneyland Hotel Review

Overall Impression:

The Disneyland Hotel exudes a sense of nostalgia and historical significance, making it a unique choice among Disney hotel properties. While it has undergone updates, the preserved historical theming might not appeal to everyone.

Booking and Check-In:

Reservations can fill up quickly during peak seasons, so booking in advance is recommended. The hotel offers room and ticket bundle packages, which can be convenient. The check-in process includes both digital and traditional front desk options.

Grounds and Buildings:

The hotel grounds are expansive and feature multiple towers, a conference center, restaurants, shops, and a pool area. Themed buildings and tropical landscaping create a charming atmosphere. However, guests staying in towers other than the main Fantasy Tower may need to walk a short distance to reach the lobby.

Rooms and Amenities:

The hotel offers a variety of room options, from standard rooms with different views to club level rooms and themed suites. The standard rooms are generally spacious and in good condition, with features like under-bed storage, a larger fridge, and a closet with a safe. The bathrooms might feel slightly dated, and some guests might find the lack of a kids' stool or additional towel hooks inconvenient.

Additional Notes:

  • The bell desk service is attentive and helpful.
  • The lobby features a large Disney map and can get busy at times.
  • The hotel's historical theming is reflected in the lobby and elevator areas through art and pictures.

Recommendation:

Recommended for Disney fans who appreciate the historical significance and nostalgia of the Disneyland Hotel. Families with young children might find the lack of certain amenities inconvenient. Guests who prioritize modern aesthetics might prefer other Disney hotel options.
